"The Somaly Mam Foundation, an advocate for the victims of slavery and human trafficking, rescues and assists these individuals in creating a new life out of one previously filled with abuse and torment. The artwork created by Marco Gallota symbolizes rebirth through nature and it is indicative of the foundation's approach to helping these victims. With a growing support base of those they help, The Somaly Mam Foundation is similar to the roots of a tree and grows stronger with time."
